Working in English, Spanish and Catalan for almost 20 years.

 

I landed in Barcelona back in 1995 and like so many people I fell in love with the place and never wanted to leave.

 

So I didn't...

Six years as a full-time teacher and student here allowed me to master both the Spanish and Catalan languages. After that it was time to move on and in 2001 I found work in a local publishing company. I got to do all sorts of work there including commercial tasks, translations, correcting and drafting copy for all sorts of purposes. I developed an eye for detail and a preference for being thorough.

 

In 2005 I became manager at a busy online store. Over the next decade I developed my skills in an increasingly on-line world, getting to grips with social media and new technology at the same time. I also began to pursue some of my own projects and over the last few years this activity brought me to where I am today. 

 

Happily, enthusiastically and seriously using my skills to go solo...
